The 36th America’s Cup was on the horizon and Silo Marina was already at full capacity for superyachts seeking to use it as a base for refits, maintenance and leisure.
While waterspace was limited, Wardale worked with the marina owner, the Auckland Council organisation Panuku Development Auckland, to reconfigure and upgrade the space to ensure it was more flexibile and resilient for the future and made best use of the avaialble space to host superyachts.
Wardale Marine Consulting developed a suite of projects, spread over several phases, that could be delivered for the most part while guests were in residence.
This included both the reconfiguration of pontoons and fingers and electricity supply upgrades.
The project was handed back to the in-house team for implementation.
